Since I was caught on the waves of Kuroko No basket, it came to mind making a tribute to one of my favorite CHARACTER of all time, HANAMICHI SAKURAGI.
Though Slamdunk was aired in Japan I think during 1991 to 1994 , I only got a chance to watched this one, on 1996, haha that late. Shohuko uniform there, was inspired I guess by the Chicago bulls jersey since it really look that much. Observing the evolution of anime, Hanamichi and Rukawa's shorts was really a shorts, while Kagami and Kuroko's shorts is more like a skirts? lol. Just like if you differentiate the shorts of Michael Jordan before and today's NBA players.
Anyway, revisiting this anime is like singing some old school song, they bring back memories, or what other says, "best as they aged".

| SLAMDUNK: HANAMICHI SAKURAGI No experience and doesn't know anything about basketball, except he can hold the ball in one hand. As the anime started I really couldn't care less for this delinquent guy. But as the series moves along I started to understand that his not only attending the basketball club motivated by his infatuation of Haruko, but indeed he loves the game. I kinda forget what episode that is when they played a practiced game with Ryonan to where they loss the game by a point and that Sakuragi was not able to take the loss. On the other hand, few times am kinda annoyed with his antics specially his childish act of competing Rukawa, BUT, his friendship, loyalty and dedication of what he was doing is the one who developed his skill faster than expected. Remember the episode where he clean the gym all by himself and write all the ball with his name initial, superb lesson there. If you want to prosper- hard-work is the answer.. :D. |

Am sharing this one to give a big shout out to the one who inspires us to be dedicated and work hard to reach our goal. Hanamichi is quite a hero for everyone and through him we are being introduced and teach to love basketball.
